The features of the statics of process of isolation of the solid precipitate on the surface of metals and plastics were examined in the models of paraffinotherapy solutions. It was established that the role of the adhesive layer that collects spilled oil from the surface of water bodies of rotation (drum, discs, etc.) is made not by the surface of the material of the oil collector, but the shell on it (substrate, primer) consisting of polar (adhesive) high-molecular compounds of the oil. This hardened shell of ASPO acquires hydrophobicity and high shear viscosity. So it is not taken away by fights of body rotation, thus acquiring an increased sorption activity (affinity) to the petroleum hydrocarbons. Stainless steel is recommended as a constructive material of the skimmer.
