On the development of K. Marx's views on historical freedom

Marx's philosophy is the result of a significant transformation of traditional Western philosophy, and its revolutionary character is expressed in the thinker's understanding of the problem of freedom. Marx applied the historical method to the interpretation of this concept, thus forming a «historical view on freedom» and overcoming the rational approach of German classical philosophy. The philosopher believed that man is, in essence, a kind of existence, so the freedom we want to achieve is freedom for this kind of existence, so it must be realized through social practice. This process is accompanied by the development of practical skills, the formation of social relations and the change of social forms, so it can be called historical. The article examines the specifics of Marx's “historical point of view on freedom” and attempts to lay a solid theoretical foundation for for a thorough understanding of it.
