About implementation of discrete line in development of methodological competency of a teacher of mathematics

Basing on the axiological approach to the definition of the concept of methodological competency, the author explains the importance of implementing the discrete line in the development of the methodological competency of a teacher of mathematics and describes some methodological aspects of its implementation. For this purpose firstly a brief outline is given to show the significance of discrete mathematics in the modern culture of mathematics application. On this basis the author studies the role of discrete mathematics in the methodology of teaching mathematics as well as in the research of various methodological systems and in the formation of anl, individual activity style.
