The role of clusters in the regional economy modernization

The article deals with the regional conditions affecting effectiveness of the cluster economy as a form of labour co-operation: a high degree of specialization, creation of new businesses and jobs, reducing of barriers to entry to new markets, new opportunities to get financial resources, increase of the tax base and tax revenues of a region. These measures are needed to be considered in order to achieve sustainable economic development of the region.
