On the role of local history studies in the formation of patriotism

The article considers an important issue concerning the role of local history in the formation of patriotism as a national idea. The author shows that much is being done in the Jewish Autonomous region to preserve its history and traditions, so that residents, guests of the autonomy, and especially young people, learn more about their small homeland. Some proposals have been made for the development and implementation of the educational governor’s program for the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the region.
