About the role of D. G. Shatalov in the development of professional musical education in Samara region

This article is devoted to the main periods of the life and creative activities of D.G.Shatalov. It shows his merits in strengthening the system of training skilled musicians of the region to achieve great mastery of folk instrumental performance. In this article are analyzed the most characteristic principles of Shatalov and his own methods of upbringing musicians-performers.
