About the role of the local peasantry in the development of the agricultural science in the Yenisei province (last third of XIX - beginning of XX centuries)

The participation of some local peasantry representatives in the agronomic and selection research in the Yenisei province is considered in the article. Their motivation in conducting the selection experiments and their main achievements are shown, the role of these particular experiments in the formation of the agricultural science in province and their significance for agricultural science in Soviet time are assessed.
