Based on unexplored archival documents of the State Archive of the Republic of Buryatia (GARB), the article examines the activities of the National Representative Office of the Buryat-Mongolian Autonomy (BMASSR) under the All-Russian Central Executive Committee in the field of developing the industrial potential of the republic in the 1920s-1930s. The activity of the Buryat-Mongolian representative office at the All-Russian Central Executive Committee was important in the socio-economic and cultural development of the republic. Representative offices were direct participants in the process of sovietization of national regions, defended their interests, dealt with the problems of autonomy in the central legislative and administrative bodies of the state. The representative office of the BMASSR at the All-Russian Central Executive Committee oversaw the construction of factories, power facilities, main tracts connecting raw materials and industrial areas of Buryatia, points of contact and communications, and much more.
