The relevance of this topic is related to the fact that a large number of juvenile offenders remain today in the Russian Federation. To solve this problem, it is necessary to take into account the historical experience of their reeducation and the prevention of the antisocial behavior of children and teenagers. Student construction brigades were one of the forms of youth labor education in the Soviet Union. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that the author studies this process on the experience of construction brigades of the Krasnodar Region. As a part of the study, about ten archival files were kept in scientific circulation, which are stored in the Documentation Center of the Contemporary History of the Krasnodar Region. The purpose of the article is to study the pedagogical experience of labor reeducation of juveniles in student construction brigades in the 1970s, using the example of Krasnodar Region. Research objectives: to consider the reasons for attracting “difficult” teenagers to work in student construction brigades; to become familiar with the process of developing their participation in these organizations in the Krasnodar Region in the 1970s; to identify the main results of the impact of labor education in construction brigades on the re-education of juvenile offenders. In the article, the author considers the reasons for attracting teenagers to construction brigades, as well as the history of the development of labor education of juveniles. For this purpose, historical-genetic and comparatively historical methods are used. Despite the fact that research in this area has been carried out since the beginning of the existence of construction brigades, at the moment it is studied in historiography rather poorly. The main material for the study includes a variety of sources: verbatim records of the Komsomol congresses, print media, documents of the regional headquarters of student construction brigades, and others. According to the author of the article, despite some shortcomings, the overall experience of these brigades in the 1970s confirmed the success of using collective labor as a method of reeducating «trouble» teenagers. This confirms that at the end of labor semesters, more than half of all «trouble» were removed from the register in the juvenile affairs inspectorate, some of them got jobs or entered educational institutions.
