About “seterleh” shamanistic rite of animal initiation at the Zakamensk Hongodors

The problem of transformation of ethnic culture is relevant for domestic ethnographic science. The author of the article tries to mark out the changes in the rite seterlah among Zakamensk Hongodors on the basis of the literary, field and archive data. The materials of the first third of the XVIII century and the beginning of the XX century were compared. It showed that collective sacrifices tailagan and the seterleh rite as a part of it stand more simple and acquired the syncretic traits.The changes were primarily stemed from the transformation of worldview Zakamensk Hongodors influenced by traditions of Buddhism.
