The article examines the legacy of O. Spengler from a non-trivial point of view - as a spontaneous continuation of a number of ideas of the “Slavophiles”. These ideas are analyzed, which were then discovered by O. Spengler by his Russian critics. Special attention is paid to the very first and most valuable to date review of “The Decline of Europe” in Russia - a collection of articles from 1922 “Oswald Spengler and the Decline of Europe”, as well as the later most interesting interpretations of O. Spengler in Russia. Russian philosophers were not only fans or critics of O. Spengler, but also developed his “Slavophilic” ideas.
