About mixed variational grid method of plasticity

The operator formulation of plasticity is used in the article. The mixed variational principle of plasticity is formulated. The algorithm of variational grid method is constructed on the base of this variational principle. The first particularity of this method is independence of approximations for velocities of stresses, deformations and displacements. This particularity is defined by application of mixed variational principle. The second particularity of this method is connected with use the orthogonal finite functions for approximation of exact solutions. Orthogonal finite functions give the possibility to exclude node deformations and stresses from the system of grid equations before solution the system on computer. The algorithm of such exclusion is shown in the article. The volume of arithmetical operations of algorithm of this method do not exceed the volume of arithmetical operations of algorithm of the classical variational grid method (VGML) connected with Lagrange variational principle. The accuracy and smoothness of approximate solutions of this method are more high that for VGML.
