On the observance of the right to personal data protection when using the results of genetic research

Based on an analysis of modern scientific research, the article presents conclusions on how the results of genetic research can be used in compliance with the right to protection of personal data, enabling the amendment of existing legislation. Modern technology is changing people's lives significantly, communication is becoming more complex and the digital footprint is emerging. Genetic information research will ensure the realization of constitutional rights while preventing the abuse of these rights. The information obtained can contribute to the fulfillment of fundamental human rights, and its further use is possible with the consent of its owner. On the basis of this information, the competent authority will have a real possibility of projecting the presence of hereditary diseases, illegal human behavior. Meanwhile, the law should set out real guarantees for the implementation of the human right to privacy.
