Socio-economic aspects of tourism infrastructure development

According to many authors, tourism, characterized by sustainable development, in the past, nowadays has a number of preconditions for further rapid development, both in the medium and long term. However, the limiting factor is seems to be insufficiently developed infrastructure. In order to overcome these and other barriers authors of the paper propose directions of tourism development as a sector of regional economy on the example of the Republic of Karelia.
