On the social protection of combat veterans

Social protection of combat veterans is one of the priorities of the state. The veterans who fought for the freedom and independence of their country deserve special attention and support from society. They carry the heavy burden of past events on their shoulders and often need help and social support to fully integrate into a peaceful society. However, despite significant efforts by the State and public organizations, problems of social protection of veterans still exist. Many of them have difficulty obtaining social services, medicines, or additional income. This can lead to a deterioration in the physical and psychological condition of veterans, as well as an increase in the number of homeless and unemployed. The above indicates the relevance of the topic of this publication. The article highlights some historical aspects of the social protection of combat veterans, analyzes current legislation, reveals existing problems in this area, and makes proposals to address the identified problems.
