On the relationship of the concepts “extremism” and “terrorism”

This article highlights the complex relationship between the concepts of “extremism” and “terrorism” in the social and political context. The authors view extremism as a broader term that covers diverse forms of extreme beliefs and activities in various spheres of society, while terrorism is a specific expression of extremism characterized by the use of violent methods using terror to achieve political, social or religious goals. The article emphasizes the need for a clear definition of each term and strategies to combat these phenomena. Issues of preventing radicalization, influencing ideological aspects, and ensuring public safety are discussed. The authors emphasize the importance of an integrated approach, including international cooperation, to effectively combat extremism and terrorism in the modern world.
