Concerning the status of the category of transcendent in philosophy

The article analyzes the status of the category of transcendent in philosophy. The study defines the notion of transcendent, reveals its connection with such concepts as immanent, transcendence, transcending. The paper shows that the transcendent is the noumenon, a metaphysical demarcation concept, whereby the philosophers try to comprehend the ultimate grounds of being, knowledge and practice. In turn, the term “immanent” means the total experiences of people in specific social and historical eras existing in cultural forms of modernity that extremely increase knowledge, goal setting and practice. In the category of transcendence, the world is perceived as a transition, the objectivity of being, which determines its profound principles, as well as the required and universal structural forms. The notion of transcending expresses human subjectivity outgoing in an objective world. This means widening and deepening the world of people through their cognitive, valuable and practical acts.
