On the theoretical foundations of innovation: the role in overcoming crisis phenomena

The article examines the role of fundamental science in overcoming the emerging negative trends in the economic development of both the world and regional economies. Variable constraining factors of the country's economic development are presented. The ways of solving all the consequences are noted, taking into account the opinions of various experts and using the example of the achievements of outstanding theorists of innovation. The importance of science, innovation and research in the development of technologies and acceleration of economic processes is determined.
