The article analyzes approaches to creating a theoretical model of a digital platform within the framework of its legal study. The main characteristics of such a model are formulated. The author proposes a methodology for studying digital platforms by constructing a theoretical model taking into account their multifaceted nature. The importance of modeling for developing classifications of digital platforms and distinguishing them from related phenomena is revealed.
