Introduction: this paper discusses the theoretical, legal and methodological methods of systematic meetings held in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The theoretical, normative basis and methods of the meeting are determined. Materials and Methods: the normative basis of the study is federal and departmental legislation regulating the functioning of meetings and other collegial forms of managerial decision-making in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, namely their preparation and conduct. The research methodology is represented by the dialectical method of cognition, in particular, content analysis and theoretical and legal modeling. The results of the study: allowed us to formulate a classification of meetings held in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, which can increase the efficiency of the entire consultative process and therefore the entire system of internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. Also in this study, an algorithm for preparing and holding meetings is proposed. Findings and Conclusions: management in the internal affairs bodies is based on constant search, adoption and execution of decisions that will effectively affect its sustainable activities and long-term development in the future. The activity of the institute of holding meetings in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is considered a classic, as well as a productive way of effective management. It is worth noting that this type of activity is one of the most important and mandatory, influencing the activities of the subordinate team. Competent and clear organization of the preparation and conduct of collegial forms of managerial decision-making affects the well-structured organizational activity of any manager. In the course of this study, the main aspects of the regulatory and methodological framework for holding meetings in the internal affairs bodies are identified, a new view on the classification of meetings is proposed, as well as the documentation support of the consultative process.
