Requirements to portfolio development in process of higher educational institutions

The article is devoted to the justication of the need for a portfolio technology usage in the study process of higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The adopted regulations on the reorganization of higher education involve the use of competence-based approach to the learning process. And this implies a change in the evaluation tools of the educational process. As an alternative form, opposed to the traditional portfolio acts as assessment, which has been receiving a positive response in the education system of developed countries. The portfolio assessment is characterized as a process and as a result of learning and cognitive activity of the student. There has been analyzed the opinions and suggestions of scientists about the requirements for the organization of the portfolio usage. The author’s version of design and organization of the portfolio assessment in the educational system of higher educational organizations has been proposed.
