The study of information richness of musical works from the perspective of the development of adequate perception of music is one of the most important and at the same time least studied problems in contemporary musical pedagogy. The article describes theoretical principles to promote the development of methods of activation of musical perception and development of specific methods of forming adequate perception of music in musical pedagogy.
