About the possibility of detention of a person when checking a crime report

The article examines the issue of the possibility and limits of the admissibility of detention before initiating a criminal case on the basis of an analysis of the existing criminal procedure legislation and scientific publications on the investigation of procedural aspects of detention. Their study allowed us to draw a number of conclusions and propose an author's solution to the problem associated with the possibility of producing a detention pending the adoption of a procedural decision to open a criminal case.
