On the issue of the occupation period of the Il’ichevka settlement unfortified part

The paper reviews materials from excavations in the unfortified part of thearchaeological site known as the hillfort and dwelling site of Il’ichevka carried out invarious years. Based on the results of the rescue excavations of 2015-2016, the paper concludes that the unfortified part of the settlement was occupied in the 2nd-3rd centuriesand, probably, the 6th century AD.
