The paper is devoted to the problem of acoustic vibration in a liquid-filled bounded pipe for which the assumption of plane motion holds. The liquid density and sound velocity may vary along the pipe smoothly or stepwise. General expressions for calculation of pressure amplitudes and vibrational velocity of the first two harmonics are obtained. The calculation examples given in the paper demonstrate some specific features of multilayer waveguides as compared to a single-layer one.
