Nowadays Buddhism in the USA is represented by its different schools and being at the same time a religion, philosophy and science, it has been perceived by millions of Americans throughout the country for spiritual selfimprovement and search the ways of harmonic coexistence with the environment The Euro-Americans accepted Buddhism primarily as a philosophical doctrine and a source of wise attitude to life. However, the issue of the «Buddhist» category definition remains unsolved.
