About aspects of contemporary strategic planning

The article deals with the theoretical aspects of strategic planning in the system of public administration. The levels of national planning in the Russian Federation are shown. The reasons of unsuccessful implementation Of the strategy - 2020 are analyzed. The time horizons for creating long-term plans for the country's development and the regulatory framework for planning are outlined. The problems which need to be solved for achievement of the designated long-term goals are revealed.
