Application of the communicative method in teaching foreign languages in a non-linguistic military college

The article is dedicated to the problem of exploring and developing new methods and techniques in teaching foreign languages in a non-linguistic military college. The article presents the design and the results of an educational experiment on checking the efficiency of communicative teaching method for translation skills formation in the course of language training in the Cherepovets higher military engineering college of radio-electronics.
