On the results of the implementation of the targeted program “Patriotic education of citizens of the Republic of Buryatia in 2002-2005”

The article aims to retrospectively analyze the implementation of one of the first regional targeted programs for the patriotic education of citizens. The relevance of the topic is due, above all, the great importance of the problem in modern conditions, as well as the need to summarize the rich scientific and methodological experience in the field of patriotic education, accumulated in recent years in the regions. The article reflects the specifics of the training of the relevant personnel, with special attention to the development of interdepartmental interactions. In addition, for the first time an attempt has is made to systematize the main directions in the field of civic and national education in the Republic of Buryatia at the beginning of the XXI century. The authors come to the conclusion that systematic and purposeful activity of governmental and public structures within the context of the «Patriotic education of citizens of the Republic of Buryatia» program implementation in 2002-2005 is one of the key factors of successful realization of various civic-patriotic initiatives in the region.
