About synthetic carotenoids efficiency for keeping of broiler-chicks

On the broiler-chicks of the Concurrent 2 cross the author studied the effect of addition of Lukantin yellow and Lukantin red synthetic carotenoids to their rations on productivity, color and taste property of meat. The correlation between content of carotenoids and vitamin A in organism of broiler-chicks was revealed. It was shown, that the use of industrial carotenoid preparations permit to reduce the content of vitamin A in ration up to 20 % from the standard. It was noted, that the incorporation of Lukantin yellow increase the deposition of carotenoids and vitamin A in skin from 1,4 to 1,9 and from 1,73 to 3,47 mcg/g, respectively. The combined addition to ration of Lukantin yellow and Lukantin red promote to increase of vitamin A deposition in liver, make better the taste properties of meat and bouillon, contribute to the pigmentation of chicks and to give an attractive marketable exterior to the end product.
