We have revealed many factors that influence the formation of personalities of future specialists, including national ideology and culture. The Republic of Buryatia has faced the problems of the lack of qualified personnel and youth migration to large cities. The statistical data show the outflow of young people, especially those with secondary professional education, which is a strategically significant phenomenon for regional development. We have considered the patriotic education of youth, taking into account their professional orientation. It is concluded that there is a demand for personnel in various industries and the migration of youth for higher wages. Rampant unemployment in the region testifies to the problem of mobility in the labour market. The study also revealed the level of patriotism among students and their readiness to serve society. The results have shown that most students are highly patriotic, but there are also those who need additional motivation and education.
