The article deals with self-quotation case by F.M. Dostoyevsky in A Novel In Nine Letters and Crime And Punishment. The case is considered by the author of the article as an esthetic initiative of the novel's hero and Dostoyevsky's attainment of new level speculation upon the novel's form.
