On optimal heat transfer agent temperature in heat transportation systems

The article considers the problem of choice of the optimal heat transfer agent temperature by the criterion of minimum power costs associated with pumping and reduction of heat losses while transported by heat pipelines. The problem is solved by means of analytical method. The author obtains a formula that allows determining the optimal heat transfer agent temperature. The paper gives the results of optimal heat transfer agent temperature calculation for specific conditions.
