The aim of this study was to evaluate the possibilities of optimizing the use of medical personnel and improving patient satisfaction. Research objectives: improvement of conditions and remuneration, improvement of quality of medical care, creation of career prospects and increase of prestige of profession of the medical worker, increase of proportion of curative-diagnostic process in structure of doctor’s admission, Increasing the cost-effectiveness of resource use. Despite the policy of improving the remuneration of health care workers, there is a shortage of personnel, acceleration of the process of «professional burnout», the presence of defects in the work of medical staff under increased load. As a result of the study we obtained results that show no positive effect in delegating some functions from the doctor to the medical staff at the children’s clinic in Saint-Petersburg.
