This article examines the grounds for the vocation to inherit a substitute within the framework of the institution of sub-designation of the heir. The legal grounds for the vocation to inherit a substitute are considered. The main focus is on the priority of the designated heir over the heirs by right of representation, as well as the conditions for inheritance. Issues such as the death of the main heir, missing deadlines for accepting the inheritance, renouncing the inheritance, removing the unworthy heir, and the legal consequences for the designated heir are discussed.
