About the main trends in the labor market in conditions of personnel shortage

The article examines new trends in the labor market in conditions of personnel shortages. The consequences of the pandemic and sanctions pressure on Russia have intensified the evolutionary problems of the shortage of specialists in the labor market. The analysis of the unemployment rate, the composition of the labor force and its trends, as well as the identification of influencing factors, allows us to conclude that the prevailing decline in the unemployment rate in Russia is due, first, to general changes in the size of the labor force and destructive effects. Overcoming the worsening problem of personnel shortage requires a systematic and targeted approach, with the active development and implementation of measures to attract, retain and develop highly qualified specialists.
