On the selection of absolute use lexis for conducting seminars in English

For a great number of specialists it is very important to master a foreign language with respect to their specialities. Two departments (of Technical Foreign Language and of Informatics and Computing Technologies) worked out their own concept in teaching English of this aspect and developed their methodology. The article includes generalization of data concerning lexis of absolute use for conducting seminars in English and compiling glossaries for the discipline «Algorithms and Information Technologies of Image Processing».
Active minimum-vocabulary, general scientific and special lexis, frequency and stability of usage, quantitative-qualitative analysis, common, thematical lexis distribution, non-frequent usage lexis
