On classifying bupropion as a narcotic drug

The article is devoted to the smuggling of the narcotic drug bupropion, which is a derivative of the narcotic drug ephedrone (methylmethcathinone). The concept of a derivative of a narcotic drug in legal practice, the differences in the approaches of psychiatrists and the legislator to classifying substances being a part of medication as narcotic drugs are revealed in the article. The mechanism of action of bupropion on the human body is described. The structural formulas of ephedrone (methylmethcathinone) and bupropion are given, as well as the reason for regarding the latter substance as the derivative of the former one is explained. It is revealed how mtdications containing bupropion enter the territory of the Russian Federation. The appearance, names and packaging of medications are described in the article.
