The unification process in Germany: socio-economic aspect

The article examines aspects of relations and their changes between the USSR and the GDR, which later led to the unification of Germany. The creation of a single country was based on the legislation of Germany. The changes that occurred after the unification of both states led to the following: an increase in territory, which affected the increase in population; expansion of industrial areas, an increase in the number of enterprises, factories and factories, social facilities, housing stock. The unification process had both positive aspects and problems of a certain level. The economic components of the two states were different in their development and existence. East Germany, being one of the advanced countries of the socialist camp, lagged significantly behind the economy of Germany in comparison with it, so it was necessary to reconstruct the economic system.
