Ensuring environmental safety in the production of acetylene

The characteristics of the process of obtaining acetylene by the method of methane pyrolysis are given. A description of the target product, acetylene, is presented. A practical calculation of the material and heat balance of production has been carried out. The composition of the reaction product, the amount of impurities and the required consumption of methane and oxygen have been determined. Investigated: control over the production of acetylene, environmental problems in the production of acetylene and general labor safety requirements. The structural calculation of the tube furnace, as the main reactor of the production, was carried out, the calculation of the Venturi scrubber, as a device that ensures the environmental safety of the process.
