Ensuring the competitiveness of regions in modern conditions: problems of formation of regional development strategies

The article deals with methodological aspects of the formation of sustainable development of regions in modern conditions. The factors influencing the competitiveness of regions are determined. The components of the concept of sustainable development of regions are highlighted. The main directions of regional development strategies that allow creating a basis for maintaining a balance of interests of stakeholders: the government, the population and business are identified. The article considers the strategic partnership between the state and business in the framework of public-private partnership.
