Ensuring personal security of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation participating in the protection of public order

The author of this article examines the main features of ensuring the personal safety of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation involved in the protection of public order. It is emphasized that due to official duties and the specific environment in which they have to be performed, professional activities are often associated with a high risk to the life and health of employees. The conceptual framework and rules that employees should adhere to when serving are determined. The stated topic is examined using the example of two areas of police activity: the police patrol service and the road patrol service, whose employees are more susceptible to the influence of various factors that jeopardize safety. At the same time, the material presented is relevant for employees of all departments of internal affairs bodies interacting with citizens. The need for self - insurance and mutual insurance with a partner, early assessment of the situation and constant readiness to repel emerging threats is emphasized in order to prevent harm to the life and health of a police officer, citizens, as well as other protected values.
