Ensuring the personal safety of police officers during detention, external inspection and delivery of detainees in a vehicle

The article summarizes and systematizes recommendations for police officers to ensure personal safety when they use separate coercive measures based on an analysis of available materials and their own research. The levels of potential danger and tactics of the actions of employees during the external inspection are considered, taking into account the nature of the behavior of the detainee. The dependence of the degree of risk and the possibility of preventing an attack on an armed employee from the distance to the detainee is shown, on the basis of which tactical instructions are formulated for an employee threatening with the use of firearms. The basic rules ensuring the personal safety of employees when delivering detained persons using vehicles are presented.
