The relevance of the research topic is reflected in the importance of providing the country's citizens with food, especially now that a lot of sanctions have been imposed against Russia, which prevents the import of certain products. The essence of the study is to analyze the state of food security in Russia. The article also defines "food security", determines the yield of the agro-industrial complex, considers the export and import of products. The level of self-sufficiency in food is reflected. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that Russia provides the population with food products to a greater extent, in some types in 100%, in some a little less, but a policy is being pursued by the state to address these issues.
