Russia's national security is inseparably linked to ensuring social stability, quality of life, decent employment and social protection. The development of the digital environment is very closely linked to changes in the structure of the labor market, which in turn has a large impact on the social insurance system, which is the mechanism of social protection and social security in Russia. The modern information and communication systems make it possible to use the forms of employment that seemed impossible a couple of decades ago. In this regard, a number of problems arise. Among them are the issues of qualification of labor relations and implementation of guarantees of labor rights of employees. At the same time, the modern digital technologies make adjustments not only in the development of labor relations themselves, but also in the system of interaction between labor law and social security law, in particular, social insurance of workers. In the article some examples of decisions of bodies of obligatory social insurance in connection with the legal facts taking place in labor relations are considered. It is concluded that in the digital age the insurers have additional mechanisms of control over conscientious behavior of the insured (employer) within the framework of compulsory social insurance.
