The article designates and researches some areas of practical use of the game technologies under the conditions of the virtualization of culture, such as a toy as a means of entry into the virtual reality, and Internet computer games. The author deals with the issues of common virtual reality, and contemporary culture’s immersion in it; substantiates the importance of the game as a significant and natural phenomenon of the contemporary culture; and discusses dialectics of the game and culture in the context of the impetuous virtualization of the culture.
