Metabolism in calves of the Kholmogorskaya breed after addition to their ration of zeolite containing forage

In balance experiments on one year of age calves of the Kholmogorskaya breed the authors investigated the effect of feeding of different amounts of analcites containing rock (Timanskoe deposit, Republic of Komi). The influence of zeolite containing forage was estimated on processes of digestion and interstitial metabolism of nitrogen and energy metabolites, animals productivity, and also consumption of digest nutrient substances per unit of liveweight gain of calves. It was shown, that optimal dose of analcites containing rock in semi-concentrated rations is 0,5 g/kg of live weight, that has positive action on animals metabolism, promotes to more economical food consumption.
