Updating higher education programs in the context of development of the national qualification system

The problems of qualitative renewal of educational programs in the context of the development of the National System of Qualifications and the convergence of higher education and the world of work in the Republic of Kazakhstan are discussed. It is shown that the hasty implementation of educational reforms and the imperfection of the state educational standard of the last generation made it difficult to form competitive educational programs of higher education in the format of competencies. With this in mind, the conceptual aspects of the graduate's competence model and key learning outcomes are considered in accordance with the requirements of the labor market and professional standards. An analysis of the current professional standards is presented and recommendations are given for their updating in accordance with the requirements of professional associations of employers and the scientific and Pedagogical community.
