Summative evaluation of the socio-economic development of the region

The study was sponsored by RFBR and the Government of the Republic of Buryatia in the framework of the research project № 15-41-04020 «rsiberiaa.». One of the tasks of the regional economy is to assess the socio-economic development of the region. Nowadays this problem becomes especially urgent, when some experience has already been accumulated in the construction of integrated assessment models and indicators. Comprehensive analysis should include not only different economic indicators, but also social ones. This article analyzes the socio-economic development of the region based on the construction of a generalizing indicator. The data base was compiled by the socio-economic development of the Republic of Buryatia for the period 2005-2015. The data of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation were used. When constructing a generalizing indicator, a multidimensional analysis method has been applied. The conducted analysis made it possible to identify the main development trends in the social and economic sphere of the region.
