Justification of the economic feasibility of the development of agglomerations of municipalities in the Siberian federal district

The article discusses the main indicators of the development of agglomerations that form the Siberian conurbation. The regions have a high population density, with the exception of the northern part of the Tomsk region. The most highly urbanized territory in the conurbation is the Kemerovo region. The total population potential of the conurbation is more than 8 million people (about half of the population of the SFD), which makes it one of the largest settlement systems in Russia. The analysis of the main indicators of socio-economic development of the Kemerovo agglomeration is carried out. The prerequisites for the formation of the agglomeration of municipalities in the Siberian Federal District are determined and the socio-economic parameters of the Kemerovo agglomeration are calculated, which proves the feasibility of developing new territorial objects - agglomerations of municipalities.
